Give the Gift of Life Insurance this Holiday Season

To say 2020 has been a strange year is definitely an understatement. As the COVID-19 pandemic has spread, we’ve stayed home and stayed 6 feet apart. We’ve missed out on holiday traditions and usual festivities. We’ve been reminded all too often how life can be cut short by circumstances far beyond our control. We’ve seen family and friends lose their jobs and with that: benefits, securities, and life insurance.

While we normally shy away from the heavy subject of life insurance during the holidays, this year is not a year of anything normal. Our team also truly believes it’s our responsibility to ask the hard questions to encourage our clients to have a plan to protect those they love. Life insurance is a key part of that puzzle.

This year we invite you to truly give the selfless gift of love to those you love. Make sure your family, spouses, business partners, parents, children and loved ones all have a life insurance plan of their own and that everyone knows about it. Make sure the coverage is enough to pay off any remaining student debt (your loved ones will still owe it if anything happens to you), get your kids to college, and pay for your part of the mortgage (both now and in the future).

We often hear, “Oh, I have life insurance through work.” Wouldn’t it be better though to have something that you owned? That belonged to you and your loved ones and provided the proper coverage on terms that you set. We often find that life insurance through work provides minimal coverage and, of course, it disappears if you change jobs or leave. We invite you to consider looking at a policy of your own as many are often surprised at how inexpensive it can be.

If you have a life insurance policy you own outside of work: good for you! Well done! Bravo! …when was the last time you reviewed it? Has your lifestyle and obligations to others changed since you first set it up? If so, let’s talk.

We’re not in the business of setting up life insurance for the sake of life insurance. If we review your coverage and determine it fits your needs, we’ll say congratulations and encourage you to keep it as is. We are in the business though of truly reviewing our clients’ financial commitments – both now and in the future – to develop a strategy to truly protect all they love.

We invite you to consider life insurance as a key gift to your loved ones this holiday season. Life insurance is perhaps one of the most meaningful ways to protect those you love both now and in the future.

In 2020, we’ve seen how quickly life can change. We invite you to trust our team to work with you to put together a plan to truly protect those you love in case of the unexpected. Please give us a call at 805-984-3777 or send us a message at info@TheWeiserAgency.com get started.
